Cold-Pressed Juicing For Skin Health – Cabbage Jicama Parsley
Skin health starts on the inside. Today, we are trying out a new recipe from our Chief Medical Officer, Ilene Ruhoy, MD, Ph.D. and our Periodic Table of Juicing. Links to both are below.
Directions on how to juice:
This juice is easy and delicious to make. Using a number 10 grid, we grind all ingredients (cabbage, jicama, parsley) together into a bowl. We scoop 1.5 cups of mash into a cloth or bag, wrap, and press in the hydraulic press. Pour to drink or safely store up to three days (although the flavor and nutrients are at their best right away). Freezing up to 30 days is also an option.
~¼ Medium Green Cabbage
~1 Large Jicama
~1 Cup Packed Parsley
Makes 32 oz of juice.

Drink These Juices For Weight Loss – Jicama Juice – Nama J2
In this video I am showing you how to juice jicama. I am sharing 2 juice recipes using Jicama which is great for weight loss, is diabetic friendly, and aids in digestion. Since Jicama is both low on the glycemic index and low in calorie it is a great base to a healthy juice recipe. To make these juices I am using the Nama J2 juicer which is the easiest juicer to both juice with and clean. Because of the Nama J2s design I no longer have to stand and feed the juicer. I now just fill up the hopper, close the lid and turn it on. This makes this juicer ideal for batch juicing. I have been more consistent with juicing because now juicing is a breeze. The Nama is great with root veggies, soft fruits and veg, and leafy greens.
